8th April 2021

We are pleased to bring you our next LentaSpace Location Guide, designed to give you a feel for what it’s like to work in Waterloo and Lambeth.  We have included all the essentials – how long it will take you to travel to work, where to stop for coffee enroute, where to go for the best street food at lunch, where to buy that last minute birthday present and where to gather with your work mates for post work drinks.

Transport Links

Transport links are amazing in the Waterloo and Lambeth area with the London Waterloo mainline stations enabling you to commute direct from Woking, Guildford, Southampton or Reading.

The Stations are also well serviced by Transport for London  – you can arrive by tube via the Northern, Bakerloo, Jubilee and Waterloo & City lines.

The many Bus routes serving Waterloo and Lambeth include the 1, 59, 68, 171 and 188.

Shopping

Konditor, 22 Cornwall Rd, is a renowned patisserie, the perfect place to pick up personalised birthday cakes and gift boxed brownies.

Gabriel’s Wharf and the OXO Building, South Bank, also provide a great choice of original fashion, art and beauty outlets, such as Nordic Nic Nac and Skylark Galleres. The whole place has an authentic artisan, community feel.

Coffee

Try Scootercaffe, a vintage scooter boutique turned café, for proper coffee roasted on the premises, an individual cosy feel in the mornings and drinks and pizzas in the evenings. A real find.

Another place with character is Four Corners, at 12 Lower March St and 199 Westminster Bridge Road, offering cold drip coffee alongside the regular hot options and great fresh sandwiches at lunchtime.

Places for lunch

The station itself provides all of the usual options you’d expect for a quick or takeaway lunch, such as Carluccio’s, Pret a Manger and Costa. If you want something a little different try Greensmiths, 27 Lower Marsh, for great pastries, soups and sausage rolls.

Post work drinks

Transport yourself to Cuba after work with a visit to Cubana, 48 Lower Marsh, offering atmosphere, street food, live music and cocktails.
