The Foundry at Blackfriars is an elegant four-storey red brick building with attractive original Victorian features. Superbly located, just a three minute walk from Southwark Tube station on the Jubilee Line and a seven minute walk from Waterloo Station, means that it’s also close to the South Bank, Tate Modern and the many bars and restaurants on The Cut.
This popular building offers a welcoming waiting and reception area, housing more than 43 serviced office spaces plus a range of meeting rooms, including a boardroom seating up to 18 people. Great amenities also help make this an inviting workplace, including kitchen facilities on each floor, free access to a gym at nearby Waterloo House, showers and bike storage for clients that cycle into work.
This historic building, dating back to 1819, was formerly the premises of the Blackfriars Type Foundry and - up until 1954 - Wicks Rotary Type Casting Co. providing printing type to nearby Fleet Street. The Foundry was made available to LentaSpace by the City of London Corporation as part of its 800th anniversary celebrations in 1989.
The guys who fitted out the office space have done a great job & we are very pleased with the results. The lay out & look of all of the spaces are so much better that we had on the ground floor and the area made into our own kitchen/meeting rooms is working really well (the kitchen for the rest of the floor is also looking brilliant) Edgar and Doreen have been amazing and we could not ask for two better people to work with. Once again thanks for all your help & thanks to the planning/fit out team.

What's it like to work at The Foundry?
Working at The Foundry allows you to spend lunch breaks walking through nearby Lower Marsh which boasts a variety of street food options. In warmer weather, there are many parks and perfect spots for an outdoor lunch alongside South Bank.
BFI Southbank, the National Theatre, the Southbank Centre, the London Eye, Shakespeare's Globe and Tate Modern and many other attractions are within walking distance of this fabulous property.
If you like to cycle to work, The Foundry is situated on the North-South Cycling Superhighway Route. We offer secure bicycle storage, showers and you’ll also have free access to the gym in our sister building, Waterloo House, which is just a three minute walk away. The award-winning restaurant 'Laughing Gravy’ is just next door and Caffé Deniro is a great option for breakfast, lunch and coffee.
Within the building itself there is also a spacious breakout room and outside patio area for informal meetings or a relaxed lunch away break from your desk.

Our meeting rooms are modern and inviting and include refreshments, superfast WIFI, projectors, screens and flipcharts. They are perfect for your next interview, training session or conference. Being close to Waterloo and Southwark station, you will be hard pressed to find a more convenient and cost-effective location to hold your next meeting.
